Well Designed Calls to Actions (CTA) are Vital for Business Growth

Your online marketing success depends on your ability to induce users who come searching for your products / services click the call to action (CTA) button and continue further with your conversion goals. However, if your users click the back button and leave the site without clicking the CTA button, it is definitely frustrating for you, as you had hoped that your site would bring in substantial revenue from the sale of your goods / services. It is therefore, essential that you are fully aware of the important role played by CTA in shaping your company’s commercial growth and also the method of writing CTA content that hooks your readers’ interest. Without a call to action, you are wasting your best efforts and ignoring users who probably would buy your products / services if you pushed them to take action. If users do not find your call to action button, they would be confused and would click the back button and exit the site. What is a Call to Action? Your call to action is an instruction to your users to provoke an immediate response by providing your users with some form of actionable task. This call to action appears usually as a button, link within text or an image of some kind. Imperative verbs such as “call now, find out more, and visit a store today” etc are CTA phrases used commonly. A call to action will make your users initiate actions that will aid your conversion goals Highlight the Benefits While Writing Effective Copy Before trying to induce the user to click on your CTA button, make sure that you have made known to him all the benefits that he will get if he clicks the CTA button. Your call to action invites the user to participate in an activity that is engaging and productive. If you do not make the benefit clear to them, or the benefit is not worth their click, why would they bother? Your Design & Color Contrast Should Stand Out Your site design should be such that the CTA button should stand out from the rest of the page and the user should know exactly where to click without any doubt or uncertainty. While designing your CTA button, choose a color that not only draws attention to the focal point- CTA button but also aids the conversion process. Never underestimate the power of contrasting colors to make a button catch the attention of viewers. Place Your CTA Where Others Can See Place your CTA button at a place where the user can clearly see without the need to rummage around the basement to find it; some place it above the fold, whereas some place it below the fold. If users have to go about searching for the CTA button, they definitely would click the back button and leave your site. However, generally it has been found that putting the CTA button below the fold brings in more conversions as it is better not to ask for conversions right away but give the user time to process the information they are presented with. Always remember that a CTA button is most effective when it is supported by the design of the entire page and the design should climax at the CTA. It should then be noted that utmost care need to be placed while designing your CTA, as your company’s commercial success could hinge on a well designed CTA. .
